Campus Estates Animal Hospital is very pleased to be able to offer our clients the added benefit of laser surgery.
This laser is very different from our therapeutic laser. Our surgical laser emits an intense beam of light at a high temperature that vaporizes the water in tissue. This absorption of water provides the laser with the ability to coagulate, cut, char or vaporize the tissue depending on the power density and the energy level applied by the surgeon. The end result is an extremely precise tissue incision.
The benefits of laser surgery include:
- Less pain
- Extreme precision
- Less bleeding
- Reduced risk of infection
- Less swelling
- Quicker recovery from surgery
Laser surgery has benefits in most surgical procedures, including spay, neuter and mass removals. Procedures where we see the most benefit include; epulis removal and stenotic nare or ‘pug surgery.’
At Campus Estates Animal Hospital we continue to offer our clients with the most up-to-date services and expertise.
Please call our clinic to find out more about surgical laser and if this is the appropriate choice for you and your pet.
