By December 2, 2016 Blog

To help us understand our cats, we do need to look at what their natural behaviour is. Over the next few weeks we will address some of their behaviours to help give us insight for these wonderful creatures.
Cats are solitary survivors and have a fundamental need to be in control. They can have social relationships; these are most often restricted to relatives.
Some of their fundamental behavioural requirements include;
• Resources (food, water, litterbox) free and immediate access to. They lack the ability to “stand in line”
• They require privacy
• They need to ability to escape from any perceived or potential stress or scare.
